I would like to apologise how overdue this post is and also in regards to any technical difficulties readers might be experiencing to retrieve my uploads. Thank you for your patience while I do my best to resolve these issues.

Listening… Sarah Blasko as I prepare myself for her concert next week and Vampire Weekend who I missing out on seeing live *sobs* However I have a post coming up with my top ten songs of 2013 for my submission of Triple J Hottest 100.

Reading… I'm reading for leisure and for my summer university English Literature class. For leisure I read in December Spark (Sky Chasers #2) by Amy Kathleen Ryan and The Gates by John Connolly. I am currently reading The Colour Purple by Alice Walker which I'm finding a little hard to navigate through due to the unique writing style and language register. However I am enjoying the challenge because as a prescribed text I am reading Pretty Little Liars by Sara Shepard. As a fan of the first season of the tv series I am enjoying this step away from my current reading choices. Other university texts include picture books Tales from Outer Suburbia & The Rabbits by Shaun Tan, both I adored

Watching… Buffy, True Blood (season 6), Girls and Sherlock (season 3). I was quite lost when all my current tv shows went on Christmas hiatus so I occupied my time catching up on oldies. I can't wait for season three of Girls to start on January 12 and I am patiently awaiting the second episode of Sherlock season 3.

Loving…. Summer afternoons. Spending time by the seaside, sharing tea with my grandparents or afternoons lazy about in friends backyards; I have had some blissful moments during December.

  1. Sarah Blasko is seriously talented, and I adore her. Glad I've found some people who do as well as me.

Lovely little post, and blog altogether!

    1. I can't wait to see Sarah Blasko live she has such a perfect voice, will you be attending a show? I love her collaboration in 'Seeker, Lover, Keeper' which is a little bit different from her previous albums so check it out if you like her solo work!

  3. Eugh I know what you mean about Christmas hiatuses, especially since it's the only time of year that I can actually catch up on TV shows without feeling guilty! Sherlock's an exception but I can't believe season three's almost over already, it feels like it just started..

    1. I'm glad that others are feeling the loss of their favourite shows because I was thinking that I sounded a bit whingey! But I sure do love my shows, like I'm sure you do as well, and at the worst timing during the summer university break! Sherlock season three hasn't disappointed so far can't wait until the final episode next week.

    1. Thank you for visiting my blog petal! Yes! Buffy The Vampire Slayer, is something I've been slowly following for a while now. I fear that I will miss it immensely when I reach the final episode, but you never know if a Kickstarter project might revive the series like what happened with Veronica Mars?! There is hope for us Buffy fans!

    1. Thank you petal, you're too kind! Sherlock is such a darling show, I think I have a crush on DI Lestrade… I catch myself sighing and making 'swoon' faces at his dapper salt and pepper hair and goofiness! haha! I can't wait until the final episode of the season but I don't want it to end!

  6. Your instagram is so lovely! I absolutely love Buffy, even now, I still watch them on DVD from time to time. I have read the Pretty Little Liars book series, as I loved the TV series as well. They're a really light, easy read and nothing too challenging, of course, but they're a bit of fun. The series starts to drag on a bit past the first 8 books though, but now that I've come so far in the series I feel like I need to see it through to the end!

    1. Thank you petal! I can't believe it has taken me so long to get around to watching Buffy! It is such a great show! I was quite surprised that my tutor prescribed Pretty Little Liars as a text for my university class but I enjoyed revisiting it. I watched the first season of the show and was impressed by it, but I share your same thoughts on how prolonged the series is and have since lost touch with the show.
