Lists | Triple J Hottest 100
Wednesday, 15 January 2014
On the 26th of January (Australia Day) Triple J radio orchestrates a top 100 chart for the year based on votes by the public. I look forward to listening to the songs chosen, even though last year I was disappointed by the song ranked first. However, you can make your preferences known by visiting the Triple J radio's website to cast a vote of ten songs.
Oh boy, wasn't this a task and a half to nominate just ten songs of 2013! The method to choosing these tracks was based on the bands I have seen live over the past year and my most played songs on my iTunes. I have been attending live gigs independently for a while now and in 2013 I was extremely fortunate to see some of my favourite bands, even meeting a couple of my favourite musicians. I saw Foals, Alpine, Dustin Tebbutt, Boy and Bear (twice), Jinga Safari, Alt-j, City and Colour (twice), Birds of Tokyo, Josh Pyke, Snakadatal (twice), Cub Sport, San Cisco, The Rubens.
I hope 2014 will feature some musical highlights and I wish you goodluck in nominating your top ten preferences. Just last night I had the pleasure of attending my first live gig of 2014, Sarah Blasko, it was a enchanting evening listening to her magical voice. Voting closes 20th January so jump quick smart click here

ReplyDeleteOh wow! Thank you for your nomination petal! It is such a lovely gesture when people (especially fellow bloggers) recognise the hard work that is put into a blog. I am honoured to be a recipient of the Liebster Award and I am planning a response for later on in the month.
